So I'm back into Magic The Gathering, AGAIN!

Not pictured is the case of Born of the Gods and extra boxes behind the
Alliance, Mirrodin, Return To Ravinica and Theros boxes!
Since the game's inception I've been a fan of Magic the Gathering, however it wasn't until the 3rd edition "Revised" and the expansion "The Dark",  that I got heavily into playing AND collecting the cards.

Over the years the game has waxed and waned in regards to collecting but I've usually played during those times even if it was with just pre-constructed decks and maybe a booster pack of cards here and there, but I've usually kept an ear to the ground in regards to the game overall.  On occasion I'll get sucked back in and start collecting again as well as playing.  I have way to many cards, which has been noted by many of individuals...

Recently at work we've been booster drafting the latest block "Theros".  So I've been sucked back into both playing and collecting.  I've also started to look back into my "collection" and fill in holes where I'm missing cards and or entire sets.  I've been buying booster boxes, to which I'm not sure if I'm buying them to collect or to crack open and play with those cards.  Yes its a vicious cycle, that oddly brings enjoyment and fun and even a bit of deja vu of years gone by and listening to certain songs while opening packs of cards in the early days.

More or less I'm pretty impressed with the playability of this latest block and the fun combos that can be had along with the outstanding artwork, the cards look better and better ever year.  The only drawback I've seen so far is that the inclusion of the planeswalkers, as they seem overpowered. Usually, whomever gets their planeswalker out first is typically the overall winner of the match.  But that's just a an observation, out of the 4 or 5 times I've faced one in a game. (The very first time I killed the opposing planeswalker outright with two zappy red cards, if it had lived I'd have no chance.)

I'm not sure if I'm at the point I need professional help to curb my addiction or if I need a 2nd job to feed the need for MORE CARDS! :D

Here is one of my favorite cards from this set so far:

Also check out the magic deck boxes I printed out on my www.dbclunie.com site. Its where I primarily put up thoughts on 3d printing as well as all of my 3d prints.

Hope you enjoyed this post and thanks for stopping by!
